How to Describe Your Items

REMEMBER: The intent of the tag is not for the shopper but for the volunteer who has to match up the item missing its tag with the description in the database.  If we cannot search for your item and it loses the tag we cannot sell it!!

COLORS:
Red
Pink
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Navy
Purple
Brown
Gray
Black
White
Khaki

Please do not use colors like “tangerine” or “salmon” while you may feel this describes your item better than orange or pink it makes it very difficult to search as it gives limitless possibilities.

 Acceptable Brand Abbreviations:
Old Navy = ON
The Children’s Place = TCP
Janie & Jack = J&J
Crazy 8 = C8
Gymboree = Gymbo
Mini Boden = Boden
Corky & Co = Corky
Hanna Anderson = Hanna
Gap = Gap (sorry some you just can’t shorten)
Limited Too = L2
American Eagle = AE
Aeropostale =Aero
Garanimals=Garan

Use the abbreviations ls for long sleeve and ss for short sleeve

It is important that there is a space between each word.  If all the words run together the tags/description will not be searchable.

Do not use symbols or slashes (i.e. red/yellow) in your description just use spaces (red yellow).

Put the brand name and number of pieces, if it is a set, in the first line and describe the item in the second line

Make sure you select the proper size and gender for your item.

Remember the data base is great, but it is not Google, if tags are spelled or formatted incorrectly they will not be found.
